Interior Waterproofing

I am working on a condo in a NYC apartment. The client wants us to show the extent and details of the waterproofing, but I am not familiar with the requirements for multifamily residential units. Should the waterproofing extend the entire perimeter of the kitchen, or just in front of wet areas?

Are you sure that it is waterproofing in the kitchen? That would not be typical....

Perhaps a shower compartment?
