IP fire alarm monitoring

IP = network.....

Even if the client's server has a power supply that meets 24 hour power source, the local internet provider may not have the capacity to keep power on the internet system for more than two hours before it fails.

The past jurisdiction that I worked - the primary internet provider indicated to us in writing that the infrastructure for internet communications would fail after two hours. We allowed VOIP but not at the sole means of communication - the second most popular option was cellular.

The Server \ Router will need a back-up power supply.
Possibly a UPS ( Uninterrupted Power Supply ),
...batteries, ...a generator or an electrical service feed from
a wholly separate electrical transmission line off of a
separate grid.
