The NEC has Mike Holt. Energy has Joe Lstiburek. For framing/wood you can go to the American Wood Council or the APA.

Where do you go to study plumbing? Especially when your jurisdiction has adopted the IPC instead of the UPC? The best guy I have found is Plumbing Solutions LLC on Youtube, but he is a contractor, not a code guy. His stuff is pretty solid code wise, and he does reference the code occasionally, but he's not in-depth enough for an inspector.

Any suggestions?

I have been to a few of Mr. Ron's classes.

I bet anybody from IAPMO would scoff at the IPC. They have their own code and look down on IPC, from what I hear anyways. Now if you're looking for a UPC Guru then yes definitely.
That is exactly right, lol

I would hope none of the folks working for or with Iapmo scoff at the IPC. It is an approved code by many locations and we who install, inspect, review, enforce, or write codes should be as professional as possible. The purpose is to protect our communities with systems to have functioning conditions where nobody is adversely effected.

Sure... but a little trash talking/rivalry doesn't hurt anything... in manageable doses, of course.
