There is an A occupancy with 224 occupancies load on the first floor of a new apartment building. The A occupancy exit to the building corridor first, then through building exits to exterior. Do I need to install panic hardware in the building exits? Which section in the building code show this requirement? Thanks!

Yes, per IBC 1010.2.9 all doors serving rooms or space for Group A with an occupant load of 50 or more must have panic hardware. The doors leading from the Group A space to the exit discharge all serve the Group A space and therefore need to have panic hardware, not just the first doors you pass through when egressing from the space.
