You gotta be kidding me..

Shell building being fitted out with new retail spaces. 90% of the spaces are only running the walls up to 8' to allow the fire sprinkler to function as designed and installed.

Leave it to the HVAC guys to screw it all up.

I told the tenant they would have better luck asking the sprinkler company how to fix it than to call the HVAC company back.

The ceiling throughout the showroom is exposed roll bar trusses. They sprayed everything gray.

Sooo.. one would think you may go with a spiral.. or at least rigid duct.. since it will be exposed and painted.

Nope, lets run some flex. Lets insulate all the ducts from one end of the room to the other.. The duct begins in the conditioned space and ends in the conditioned space with a register....

What size flex, you ask? hmm.. what do we have in the van.

Were there any plans submitted for review, or any project plans

in general ? :o

Nope, no plans submitted. I received an application for a C.O., which triggers an inspection. The space had HVAC (a single large supply and return). Typical inspection would be checking for fire extinguisher, make sure furnishings aren't obstructions, ordering the removal of the deadbolt they all install after taking possession.. etc.
