Legionnairs

A good reason to ensure required clearances from evaporative condensers to ventilation inlets to a building per Section 908 of the Mechanical code. Pigeons like these appliances to build roosts, and some believe the resultant fecal matter is known to carry pathogens harmful to humans including those that promote Legionnaires Disease. The pathogens are expelled in the vapor plumes created and can enter the breathable air through various inlets into the building where clearances are minimized or eliminated.
