Lesson #1

Greetings,

Yea maybe my boss the mayor will send me to NC for some more training. Heck maybe we should all go.

BS

I hope that in our line of work (code officials) that we can take the high ground and realize that while we may not always agree, there is value in civility. We are all here to learn, to share war stories and occasionally to rubberneck or just lurk. Throwing darts accomplishes none of this. We all say stupid things occasionally. That is human. No one knows everything. I value all opinions even if I may not agree with them. Please be mindful of others and keep it civil.

Jeff DOES encourage and wants "hot topics"!

rktect 1,

You may want to keep some popcorn and other goodies in your office all the time.

Maybe we`ll set a new record and exceed the topic about "Attic Stairs". :D

FMWB,

C`mon, ..get in the game!

Me too. I like action. But it's got to have some class. I don't expect high brow. I am not all that sophisticated. Marginally intelligent will do. What I don't expect is this, "So you already knew that I would not marry you even if you did sleep face down."

I posted a list of rude, brash insults delivered by an electrician.

Insults that include you too.

The next thing I see is Daddy-0- telling me that everybody's opinion has value and I should keep it civil.

Silly me, I didn't know that civility flourished right up to the point of my posting the list.

The rewind button fixed that.

This electrician is a hot topic and Jeff does encourage him. I realized that early on. It's not like I haven't stirred the pot. The redeeming feature is that the electrician isn't aware of his place in all of this.

Screw it...it's just a forum...I get insulted plenty at work

I took it away.

It's not worth it.

Like I said...I was not directing my comments just at you. I didn't see which thread the "marriage" comments came from but i hope they were addressed by a moderator. ICE..I think you were baited and drawn into the weeds and you reacted. That is also human. Now you took the high road. Thank you.

Obviously, some of the posters here are VERY opinionated. I completely disagree with the combination inspector comments and other inspector bashes on the other thread. I agree with what you were saying there. I just didn't agree with starting another thread just to swim in the mud.

I know you respect the members of this forum as do I. Hopefully the other member will tone it down a little with the insulting. If not then it goes over my paygrade in a hurry. Have a good weekend.

Well kid I wasn't baited into doing anything. I set out to show this guy for what he is.

Inspectors are the biggest joke that has ever been pulled on the public. It would be my guess that less than 10% of the inspectors out there today are qualified to do what they get paid for. I was just trying to point out just how un-qualified most electrical inspectors are.
Nasty stuff like that is sprinkled around. People that disagree with him are idiots and useless. He is a giant bag of negativity.

Then he blew his own horn... loud.

Dennis knows that I am very deeply involved with the NC IAEI and we get to see each other at least once a year at one of these meetings usually in Raleigh at the first of April.I am also deeply involved with the NC DOI who is responsible for the certification process of inspectors in NC. I sit on many different committees and boards with these two. I am certified to teach the mandated courses for electrical inspectors in NC and have been doing so for 12 years.
The same guy that walks on inspectors expects their deferential respect.

I agree. Let's move on.
Well if it's all the same to you, I'll go my own way from here.
