OK. Here is the deal.
Many old links may not work like they once did. THIS IS NOT a vBulletin issue as some may think. On the previous site we were using a 3rd party software as an SEO enhancer to get better placement on Google and other search engines. The 3rd party software went out of business but it was already heavily entrenched in the old site. That old SEO software would change the links that were already established by vBulletin. With the upgrade we cannot get the out of business, unsupported SEO software to work and therefore will have to wait until we are re-indexed by google and bing and whoever else indexes.
So, to reiterate, this is an out of business, unsupported 3rd party software issue, not a vBulletin problem. Thousands of forums used that SEO software and are eventually going to go through the same problem as technology changes but the 3rd party software does not and is not supported because it is no longer in existence. It was going to happen sooner or later.
