Can anyone direct me to a manufactured product that is listed for use as draftstop in an attic as required by IBC 717.4.1 and 717.3.1?

Thanks in advance

Re: Listed Draftstop material

Am I missing where it says "LISTED"????

or what edition are you in ???

Re: Listed Draftstop material

Thanks Fatboy. This may work.

cda, in th 2006 edition of IBC 717.3.1 the words "listed for use" are not there but "other approved materials adequately supported" is and that is where listed for use is appropriate. If a product is oested for a specific use, then it is an approved material.

That is the purpose of the ICC-ES reports, to provide us with product use information that we otherwise may not have access to and to help the AHJ to make comforting decisions.

Why can't all architects have this attitude! Kudos

Because all architects have not worked for the Louisiana State Fire Marshal for 123 years in plan review before retiring to life as a Code Consultant and Building Code seminar instructor.

Semper Fi y'all Navy folk!

Make that 13 years. It just seemed like 123 years.
