We are seeing some solar panels, our power company does buy the power (at a tiny rate) and during the summer months they have some success but not so much in the winter. Supposedly there is a multi acre one going in up north but they already acknowledge that it does not pencil out. The amount of snow we had this year has any that are laid onto sloped roofs buried and useless.

The northern areas of the state get high summer temps. Where I am at we have lots of overcast so cooler temps. Last summers guests asked if they should buy bear spray and I said no (I favor the pistol or shotgun) but they should not forget their rain gear - well don't you know it did not rain on them once during their trip! We actually had to much sun and heat the last summer which contributed to a very large fire near where I live (Swan Lake Fire).

post #1 was actually Iliamna volcano not Redoubt. Scattered all of the manure this weekend (my high tunnel). Young neighbor kid learning what s#$% smells like.

Hey where did the salad bar go? My backyard. Underneath this bull's chin we have lost lots of flowers to moose - The momma and her babies were out front licking the salt off of the wife's car.
