Ok, so I have been on this forum for a while and have had a lot of my questions answered, so thanks for that! Saved me a lot of headache. Now, the only kind of thread I haven't been able to find on this website is one about home security. One of my clients is asking me what I recommend for their alarm system. Can someone offer me advice, so I can pass it along to them? What about ADT? I just checked out a website and found a bit of information but I would like a first hand review. Thanks again for everything!

I think he means residential burgler alarms, probably in conjunction with monitored smokes, etc...... not sure though, just a guess

There is a vast difference with residential security alarm systems and smoke detection and alarms as required by all applicable codes. From my experience security firms in the business to sell "security" systems lack the understanding for smoke detection and alarm requirements in the codes and typically the homeowner suffers when inadequate coverage for audible (dBA) and detection levels are installed.

I told my daughters to go to the thrift store and buy mens sneakers, size 12 or bigger and put a pair outside the front and back door.

Searching online won't hurt, you will find a lot of different home securities and reliable reviews about it too. Including cost for it.
