George Louie has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Sacramento against Sutter County Superior Court contending Americans with Disabilities Act violations that he says include a public computer inaccessible to him and other people using wheelchairs.
Louie also said the service counter is too high to file civil documents.
"The so-called two accessible windows have been closed for more than three years," he added in the Friday filing in U.S. District Court.
Louie said he also filed suits against superior courts in El Dorado and Yolo counties over ADA issues.
"Every time I sue a courtroom, they come up with new facilities," he said.
He described himself in the federal filing as a disability rights advocate.
"My goal is to eliminate discrimination against individuals with disabilities by enforcing — under the applicable citizen suits provision of civil rights laws — compliance with the Americans Disabilities Act and related state disabled access laws," he wrote.
"I've caused more than 10,000 businesses to come into compliance with state and federal disabled access laws resulting in physical access for thousands of disabled individuals," Louie stated.
A representative of the Sutter County Superior Court could not be reached Friday for comment about Louie's lawsuit.
