Since passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), employment of people with disabilities has declined considerably, their household income has remained flat and, Burkhauser said: “Increasingly, people with disabilities are substituting SSDI benefits for labor market earnings, making them net withdrawers rather than net contributors to the tax base. … This outcome challenges the finances of the SSDI program and is at odds with the view of disability codified in the ADA that people with disabilities are able and willing to participate in the labor market.” ¹
Recently I had lunch in downtown Walnut Creek, the parking meters are now 7 minutes for 25¢, after plugging every quarter and dime I had into the meter I walked to the restaurant, every car on the street had a disability placard or license plate for free parking, I guess everybody is disabled now

A high income insensitive community (smiling). Same thing happens in the LA garment district. Drivers using deceased relatives or family member tags.

Building codes (access) aide in provideing access to opportunities previously denied to many with disabilities. Jobs equal increase in taxes paid, no?
