The MAQ per Control Area given in the fire code is divided by material type and characteristic (combustible-dust or Flammable-Liquid). What if I have more than one of these in a single Control Area? For instance, Say I'm putting 120 gallons of Flammable liquid (ignoring the allowed increases) and 150 pounds of Flammable gas in the same Control Area used for storage. Is this allowed? Seems like a silly question because I could then throw 125 pounds of fireworks, 125 pounds of Flammable solids etc. etc.
I guess the question is, when mixing types of materials, how does one arrive at allowed quantities of each?
Thanks,
Neal
