Meter Separation Distance

I posted this in the electrical section as well.

A building owner wants to relocate the electric meter next to the gas meter / equipment. Is there a separation distance required between the electric meter and the gas meter / gas vent / etc?

Usually the power company wants 3 feet from the venting on the pressure regulator......I do not know if there is a particular code section on this one.....I've looked for it residentially and not found it...never had the problem commercially.....
