When determining outside air requirements, should I include floor areas of mezzanines, enclosed mezzanines, equipment platforms, or the stairs and elevated catwalks that connect the various equipment platforms?

IBC 505.1, a mezzanine shall be considered part of the floor below, does not contribute to either the building area or number of stories, but does get included in determining fire areas.

IBC 505.5, equipment platforms shall not be considered part of the the floor below, does not contribute to either the building area or number of stories, and is not included in determining fire areas.

Thanks.

If there is equipment in those areas, you need to... unless you've separately calculated make up air and combustion air. Outside air for people? Probably for mezzanines where people work..
