I just got back from two weeks in the middle east supporting the Navy's engineering efforts in Bahrain. We were working in a large warehouse that stored a variety of goods. In one section we saw at least 10 large pallets of cases of Girl Scout cookies. While we were working in other areas of the base that day, we heard rumors of a shipment of Girl Scout cookies on base. The excitement was growing. The next day, the cookies were released for distribution to the troops. They are given to the troops free of charge. It was obvious how welcome the cookies are. We talked with one Commander visiting from a forward post in Kuwait and he told us that they were a huge hit at his base and he keeps a box of thin mints in his refrigerator whenever he can.

So, the next time you leave the grocery store and see Girl Scouts selling cookies, buy a couple boxes to be sent to the troops. They are really appreciated!

I have pictures, but could not get them to upload.

thanks for the report

I but them for the troops, so I do not get fat, or fatter
