12’x 60’ storage (3 occupants) with only (1) rollup 8’x8’ door exit from space. Exception #1 applicable and Exception #6 not applicable? No requirement to apply #6 or take additional exception?

2015 IBC

1010.1.2 Door swing.

Egress doors shall be of the pivoted or side-hinged swinging type.
Exceptions:
1. Private garages, office areas, factory and storage areas with an occupant load of 10 or less.
6. In other than Group H occupancies, special purpose horizontal sliding, accordion or folding door assemblies complying with Section 1010.1.4.3.

Exception 1 applies. Exception 6 only applies to horizontally moving doors regardless of occupant load. Exception 6 is what door manufacturers like Won-Door uses for compliance.

Thanks. After taking exception #1 where does code tie into/link the requirements: simple operation opening, force required to open, fire ratings? Currently see a disconnect.

additional info for: "Not required?"
Project has 2 Design problem solutions:
1)Buy 8x40 refrigerated shipping container to store perishables.
2) Construct slighty larger 14x60 (more functional) refridgerated portable storage building.

If we take #1 exception, I cannot find where IBC requires: operability, opening force etc. for the 14x60 storage. 14x60 required to comply with IBC, ADA is not a factor, this is temporary additional employee work area.
