Just curious to know if anyone has had problems tracking inspections on large multi-family projects and if so what you may have figured out about it. Our permit software is terribly inept---impossible to track them on our end.

For large piece at a time inspections need to have good description in the inspection report and we often highlight initial and date the inspected area on the approved plans--ie green circle FGC 4/24/14 framing

Just have to be dilligent on note taking as far as exactly what units and exactly what inspections were done....Multiple units with the same address are always going to be an issue....

Each building has a number

Folder either paper or computer for each building number

Plus big site map and mark it as you go

That's what I do too.

I also have a spreadsheet for individual units that I fill in as they are each CO'd
