Dear Supreme Being,

Please give us 4 distinct seasons; let me know to carry an umbrella during the spring, shorts during the summer, a sweater in the fall, and a shovel in the winter.

Please dear Supreme being, give some advance warning of tornados, earthquakes/tsunamis since they seem to be pretty random. I can deal with hail, flooding and snow, since those are seasonal.

We understand you control all; we don't appreciate these tests/experiments you send us. We don't appreciate the random death and destruction the weather you give us brings. We try to ensure safe places for people to seek refuge. We appreciate your cooperation; help to make our jobs easier.

Thanks a bunch in advance... see what you can do for us.

Do you have a facebook page?

Sincerely,

Peach

peach,

i planted tomatoes ,squash, peppers, cucumbers, and herbs yesterday. i would ask for it not to freeze until november. i planted a few weeks early this year and know it is a risk but i just can't eat any more store bought tomatoes!

Wish I could get some veggies in the ground. It snowed on Thursday, snowed on Friday, and was 18 degrees on Saturday night. I have pretty well given up on vegetable gardening until I can build a greenhouse. Then I will have tomatoes in January!

It was a balmy 50 something so I did get out and dig 14 holes yesterday for the pine trees that I am planting on the fencerow. Next is getting the netting up to keep the *#%$ deer out of the trees.

Meanwhile here in Houston it hasn't rained more than 1/10th of an inch in over 120 days. The days have been nice, lows of 60 and only hit 93 once (mostly in the mid to high 80's); heck even the humidity has been low. BUT we wouldn't argue with some rain - that wet stuff that falls from the sky! We could use some of it, enough kidding around, send some our way, PLEEZE!!!!
