NEC 2017 Short Circuit Current Rating on ATS

There is yet another relatively important change for those going to the 2017 or those already in the NEC 2017. New verbiage in 702.5 Transfer Equipment for Optional Standby Systems reads as follows:

The short-circuit current rating of the transfer equipment, based on the specific overcurrent protective device type and settings protecting the transfer equipment, shall be field marked on the exterior of the transfer equipment.

Yes, more signage. How do you interpret this? What information will you have to see on the transfer equipment? What if you have an ATS that is service rated and used as the service disconnect? Will there be other signage requirements?
