New California DSA accessibility application matrix for housing

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering when this was finally going to be released. Would have been helpful studying for my CASp exam, if only it would have been a month earlier =(
 
Several comments: many funding programs and agencies will have requirements that exceed the codes in the matrix.
- Tax credit projects require 10% of the units to have features that are mobility accessible (4% communication accessible).
- In City of LA, HCID is requiring even more accessible publicly-funded units as part of a court settlement.
- The matrix doesn't explicitly give you advice on the concept of "dispersion" in ADA / 11B-233.3.5. For example, on a 20 unit project, 5% mobility accessible is only one unit. But if the 20-unti development is comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, that 3 different unit types. Per 233.3.5, you'll need one of each type to be mobility accessible. That's 3 units, or 15%.

Moral of the story: this document is a good start, but it's no substitute for careful examination of the codes, regulations and programs for each project.
