New Orleans hotel, restaurant accused of not being ADA compliant

NEW ORLEANS – A Gretna man alleges a New Orleans business has barriers that restrict access to the disabled.
Corey Baker filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Hotel 360 LLC, doing business as Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower and Round House Bar & Grill, alleging violation of Americans with Disabilities Act regulations.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he visited the defendant's property to watch 2016 NBA playoff games at the Round House Bar and Grill, where he experienced serious difficulty accessing the goods and utilizing the services offered at the property due to the architectural barriers. The plaintiff holds Hotel 360 LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide required access aisles, failed to provide disabled seating in its dining room and failed to provide an accessible restroom.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order directing defendants to alter the property to make it accessible to and useable by individuals with mobility disabilities, an award for attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses and such other and further relief as it deems necessary, just and proper.
