One-hour rated “roof” required?

Given a four story R2 Apartment building of Type V-A Construction with a NFPA 13 Sprinkler system, 2015 IBC. Table 601 requires one-hour rated Roof construction. The building has several “roofs” (or “canopy’s”?) covering a ramp, sidewalk and small patios (4’x8’) off eight ground floor units. These roofs are either steel framed or wood framed (2x8 framing) and clearly not one-hour rated. Taking a conservative approach I would say these “roofs” have to be one-hour rated or of Heavy Timber Construction (Type IV Construction). Any thoughts or opinions as to weather they need to be fire-rated? Thanks in advance.
