So when you inspect a pair of rated doors,

Do you check to see if the gap between the doors is to much??

If to much, do you tell them to meet NFPA 80?

If so what fixes have you seen and approved?

I don't inspect or approve door assemblies (yet), but, as a fix, an astragal could be installed to seal the gap. This may require the installation of a coordinator if both leaves are required to be active for egress width (i.e., not an inactive leaf with flush bolts) to ensure that they close in the proper sequence.
