Plans to demolish existing structure in Surfside

What happens to the residents of the other tower who cant go home? Does insurance cover temporary living like a sfr house fire? I guess it depends on the terms of your policy.

Red Cross may be involved with funds for temporary housing? Not sure if that has been determined?

I understand and agree it needs to be brought down in a controlled manner due to the safety concerns of trying to work under what will certainly come down in an un-controlled manner if they don't. But one story that was floated was that it would just become a mass grave in-situ. I am more skeptical of that. Bring it down then dig it out and recover the lost. And figure out why it happened. I worry the plan to leave it will hamper efforts to determine the cause.

The Murrow building was demolished with 3 victims still uncovered, provisions were made to marked the area of the victims and they were recover after the demolition derbies and blast derbies were removed

Around here the AHJ has responsibility to relocate people and then can lien the property...

Red cross has a statement out on June 29th stating over 30 families have been helped so far with shelter.
