Update 4-7-2017: the picture above and below are there because I eroniously required that the drain pipe be buried below the pool shell based on the drawing found on the approved plans. Having talked with the engineer that designed the pool I have discovered that I was wrong. As long as the pipe does not displace any of the required thickness of shotcrete, it can be in contact with the shotcrete....as in between the shotcrete and the dirt.



You can see a solid copper wire running the entire length of the bond beam. It is supposed to be the perimeter equal-potential bonding wire.
