We all got something to bitch about regarding code. The public comment phase of the code development process is designed for you. It's a chance to take a peek at the ideas of folks that are busy creating your future, and give their work your thumbs up or down.

There's a lot of stuff on the table for 2015. Have you written your public comment for submission today? Have you decided to make a difference?

All this knowledge and experience on this website, just sitting in the caboose of industry's freight train. There are seats for you in the engine, you know. Where would you like to go?

Every time someone complains about the code...ask them what their public comment said...

You still have time. Here's an easy one, vote for disapproval on RB465-13. This reference to the pool and spa code from the IRC takes the security barrier provisions out of the appendix. If you want those provisions accessible now, you have to buy another book. It also means that what you see in this video, will be required as a direct reference from the IRC. The International Swimming Pool and Spa Code needs more time in use as a standard and more code cycles to vet it properly with industry, before it becomes married to the IRC.
