R602.10 of the 2018 International Building Code for Wall Bracing DOES Apply in Pennsylvania

Contrary to popular belief, the 2018 IRC adopted by Pennsylvania has no changes to Chapter 6 that affect wall bracing. In the past, the RAC did not adopt the current wall bracing of the time and had always reverted back to the 2006 IRC for wall bracing (this was an ignorantly stupid move). Those days have been over. R602.10 which is much more usable and helpful is in effect in Pennsylvania despite the common misconception that it is not.
