We have a client who is looking to have an outdoor elevated platform for music performances. Like small 3 piece band. There will be a small covered structure for this area. However they are concerned with the need for ramps since they take up space. We are going to provide a non-elevated space for performances, but they are wanting to elevate if possible.
I had expressed that with my understanding, we would need a ramp even thought its a small platform. And if we went more than 7", we would need a stair with handrails.
We are being asked if we provide a space for a temporary (aluminum) stage with steps. Since its not a permanent fixture, we would not need a ramp. However, I am seeing its only considered temporary if its not in place for more that 30 days at a time.
