Well here's the thing about that....if there is no room for anything other than R13, I'd say that the discussion was over before it got started.

I thought you said the inspector was a llama? Guess you edited that part out. Besides, if it had to be R38, I guess it would be a lot more than $1 sq ft, foam and roofing and who knows what else.

No…I said that the inspector was beating a dead llama. Then I went back to the OP and realized that there is no mention of a correction from an inspector. So yes I edited that out.
