Retail Space Ventilation Design

What did you question? The missing zone effectiveness factor or the possible deficient exhaust?

With nothing shown on the mechanical drawings and no actual exhaust rate, it appears as though they are showing us what the book says but not actually designing anything.
 
So that is the extent of their mechanical plans? Not even a note saying "Design and Install per current codes?"

Nope, nothing. We don't accept those generic statements anyway as there is nothing to go by for the inspection. I call this the smoke and mirror where the RDP thinks we will scan through and see all the relevant numbers, language and keep going.
 
The "Design and install per current codes" is our office lingo / joke about clients who do not want to spend money for permit drawings.
