"But we didn't do that". I heard you the first time. I didn't say that you did it. What I said was, "This needs to be fixed".

Just Like I didn't say that the tear-off crew threw away the rest of this. What I did say was, "This needs to be fixed".

I ran into this same thought process with CSST gas piping. The plumber said, "Bonding, that's the electrician's job!, I don't touch the electrical panel!"

I make it clear that I am not telling them to do anything. I am merely pointing out an issue that will prevent them from passing an inspection going forward.
