Do you ask for a trip through the sewer when a liner has been installed? And no that is not a dead kitten.

There is a low spot also. The camera was under water. They will be digging it up.

A neighbor brought one of those over on a CD for me to look at the other day, what's happening is people are being required to install low-flow toilets if they pull permits for anything here, the result is toilet paper is getting hung up on the roughness of the cast iron, a sewer contractor ran the video and recommended a plastic liner. After running the video and looking at the price I told him to forget it and do like most people and flush three times to wash the paper through. The other alternative that I use is to install washlet toilet seats and don't use toilet paper at all.

As of July 1st CalGreen has gone into effect requiring these water saving fixtures, it's caused such a storm that our local TriChapter ICC group has met with their attorneys and come up with some exclusions called "Policy 19", the Green Code has subsumed CC §1101-1108. Here is Policy 19 eliminating some minor and "socially responsible" projects. After January 1, 1919 all homes and business have to replace their plumbing fixtures, how are you going to enforce that? As to stopping people from flushing three times maybe we could mandate cameras installed over all toilets and urinals, the cameras could be connected directly to the building departments and you guys could montor people flushing toilets, if I can get a ticket for my lawn sprinklers over-spraying onto the sidewalk, why not monitor water use inside a home?
