San Mateo County to host disabilities awareness fair
WHAT: The San Mateo County Commission on Disabilities will host a Disabilities Awareness Fair in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADA established a clear and comprehensive mandate to eliminate discrimination against individuals with disabilities in employment and public accommodations. The fair will feature service dog demonstrations, an accessible bus display, emergency preparedness information, and resource tables from nearly 50 agencies serving the county's 140,000 disabled residents. The Foster City Lions Club will host a paid barbecue lunch.
WHEN: July 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: County Center Plaza, 455 County Center, Redwood City
