Sandy

It wasn't too bad. Pumping water out of the basement and lost 6 big oaks, but home, garage, vehicles and family all ok.

the wind blew, it rained a lot and the big pine tree in my yard growing on a rock fell down, missed evething of importance. bunch of people ran aroudn and complained about power being out and wanted the goverment to do somthing about it. the goverment is the last group I want runing the electric light, phone or cable industries.

a report from centrial Massachussettes

Irene hit Richmond pretty hard last year, so we were relieved to be on the southern fringes of this storm. It was fairly breezy and we had a couple inches of rain over a couple days.

I had a report from Southwest Virginia Community College (Tazewell County) that they got 10 inches of snow.

In Richmond VA area we got the even an ill wind blows some good silver lining--got a couple days of much needed soaking rain without much damage.

After Irine and various damaging thunderstorms earlier this year-- a welcome relief.

Feel for those East, West, and North of us that got floods, heavy winds, and/or heavy snow, dealing with downed trees, structural damage, road closures, and/or no power.
