717.4 Draftstopping in Attics

We have an existing 27,500 SF attic area under a wood truss roof in a non-sprinklered building in which a dozen equipment dormers are being reworked/replaced. The attic area has some gyp board draftstopping present, but does not meet the 3000 SF max area requirement so we are bringing it up to compliance. Is some type of sealant required at all the joints?

Looking in section 714 Fire-Resistant Joint Systems there is mention of fire-resistant rated walls and smoke barriers, but nothing regarding draftstops.

Thanks in advance
