So just going through some chapters, because your forget what is in the good book sometimes, or been through so many code changes they blur.

So what is this section all about???

Section 420 Groups I-1, R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4

Seems like it does not say much, or is covered somewhere else???

I'm not sure what you are asking. This section provides special requirements specifically for those occupancy groups. This is where dwelling and sleeping unit separations are required, and it references other sections indicating requirements for sprinklers and fire/smoke alarms. In 2015 it added requirements for Group I-1, Condition 2 smoke barriers, and in 2018 it added requirements for Group I-1 assisted living facilities and cooking facilities for Group I-1 and Group R.

Thanks just trying to figure out why the section was there.

It seems like should be covered somewhere else in the code, But I guess not.
