What's the separation required between B and S2?
From Table 508.4 looks like 2hours for NS.
But no separation is required between B and S1? But S1 is low hazard and S2 is moderate hazard.
Am I missing something?

It is based on fire load. Group B and Group S-1 have higher fire loads than Group S-2, so the separation required between the Group B and Group S-2 occupancies is to protect the Group S-2 lower fire load area from the Group B higher fire load area.

What is a "fire load"? is it somehwere in the code?

p.s. I had it backwards- S1 is moderate and S2 is Low

"Fire load" is not defined by the IBC, but it is defined in NFPA's Fire Protection Handbook as the "measure of the maximum heat that would be released if all the combustibles in a given fire area burned."

Group B and Group S-1 occupancies have a lot of combustibles, so it has a moderate fire load, whereas Group S-2 occupancies do not include a lot of combustibles, so they have a low fire load.
