Oh, I'm sure they'll extend it soon, hopefully before the fire, or the CO poisoning.........
 
did they say they were ready for an inspection? I would call it a progress inspection and use it as a teaching moment, not a gotucha

They requested a sheathing inspection so they can dry in the roof. The two guys at the other end were still framing the roof. I don't think the vent material is available any longer so the vent must be changed. The GC will have the framer change it.
 
purlins, purlin struts, hand cut roof? those carpenters are carpenters, they know how to use framing squares, cut roofs,and who cares about a silly vent pipe. it brings tears to my eyes to see real carpenteras at work. i get all nostalgic when i see something other than trusses!
