Single Conductor MC Cable No Conduit

single conductors shall be grouped together to mitigate the parasitic effects of magnetic and electric fields?
2020 NEC 330.10(A)(12) (Article 330 is MC cable) says "Where single-conductor cables are used, all phase conductors and, where used, the grounded conductor shall be grouped together to minimize induced voltage on the sheath."

This is actually the wrong place for the requirement, a fairly common problem in the NEC. 330.10 is Uses Permitted and a list of options after the statement
"Type MC cable shall be permitted as follows:" As such nothing in that section can prohibit any installation, per the language used. 330.12 is Uses Not Permitted, and so the requirement belongs under that section as the contrapostitive.

Cheers, Wayne
