I have a project in which it would be very difficult to accommodate a daylight zone under skylights of half the area. Can get close, but will most definitely be a bit shy on the area.

C402.4.2

I would like to use some of the vertical fenestration on the exterior walls. i see there is an exception #5 to use vertical fenestration. My question is how am i able to determine the daylight zones adjacent to the vertical fenestration???

Thank you

See IECC Section C405.2.4.2.

Instead of a clerestory, they refer to it as a rooftop monitor.
