Does anyone actually check the manufacturer's spec for split bolts to determine whether or not they meet the requirements of 250.64(D)(1) with the new changes from 05 to 08?

I love the main trunk line with taps method for connecting GECs of multiple disconnects but prefer to see exothermic welds or irreversible compression fittings.

Thoughts?

Ilsco and Burndy copper split bolts are a listed mechanical connector for grounding.

Correct, most of the copper or bronze split bolts that I see are listed for grounding and bonding connections.
