Storm Doors on interior-grade doors

I have a client who recently had to remove the enclosure from her sunroom, converting it into an exterior space. She currently has two interior-grade doors leading to this area and wants to install storm doors over them instead of replacing them with proper exterior-rated doors to save on costs.

I have concerns about durability, insulation, moisture and energy efficiency. Has anyone encountered a similar situation? a couple of contractors have recommended this approach, so I wanted to reach out to the design community for advice.

May want to check with the AHJ to see if there are requirements for jamb reinforcement to prevent kick-ins and dead-bolt lock upgrades.
