Our office receives a report every week for electrical permits issued in our area. It's a means of making sure that folks aren't doing things like, say, creating illegal basement suites without our office being aware.

I found this permit application language this morning. Methinks the sparky is just a bit pissed.


"repairing previous contractors potentially life threatening install"
 
Maybe...or the new guy is overzealous, and someone missed a GFCI in a basement...
Part of me wants to look at the work. I suspect it was some DIY guy ... I've seen things that even though I am not an electrical inspector have made my skin crawl. Or would make my skin crawl if I touched anything.
