And here it is:

Car wash and ANSI 117.1, IBC Chap 11

I cannot find anything in the IBC that would require a car wash bay to be accessible. I have a 3 bay self serve plus 1 automatic bay and a mechanical room. I am doing plan review right now and I am making comments about reach ranges but nothing else at this time. Thoughts? While we are here...

Do to no known exemption, to me, I have required the following:
  1. The maximum height from the ground to the coin slot (primary payment method) or the selection buttons. When more than one payment method is available, i.e. coins, bills and/or credit card, all methods of payment shall be accessible.
  2. And all air freshener machines, and change machines, and other vending machines, shall be accessible.
  3. The minimum height from the ground to the hose
  4. Slope around the car, not under it, shall not exceed 2-percent
  5. And yes a vacuum, shall be accessible.
