The Official 2024 ICC Conference Long Beach Attendance Thread

It is Sunday. I got here yesterday and am staying in the east village section of Long Beach. It is not a far walk to the convention center. Taking recommendations for breakfast restaurants.

if anyone is wondering, which vote we are talking about, it is the vote for a proposal that would evaluate the make up of the ICC board of directors which would potentially create an opening to allow for profit non-governmental board members.

Any thoughts or input to share from the expo portion of the event?
yes, there are an absolute ton of software companies out there with a multitude of really good products. I think that any department that’s not using software even if you were a third-party and think you can’t, you are wrong and you should be using software. At this point, there’s no excuse based on availability and pricing. I am a massive proponent of being 100% paperless which has been the best thing we’ve ever done.

By the way, I've met @classicT and @steveray at the conference so far. In addition, I made connections with building officials from all over the country, and we were able to compare notes on the administrative side of our industry. These in-person interactions are what make conferences so valuable.
