Toilet and Door Positions

I have a condition where the door to a toilet room needs to be relocated. The new location of the door will put it on the same side of the space as the toilet, but the door swing is outside of all fixture and turn around clearances. In that case, is there a violation of the 'door must be in the opposite corner' rule?

The "door must be in the opposite corner rule," as you put it, only applies to toilet compartments. Single-use toilet rooms are not really compartments. Per ANSI A117.1, Section 604.1, compartments with more than one plumbing fixture are required to comply with Section 603 for toilet and bathing rooms. See Section 603.2.2 regarding doors into toilet and bathing rooms.

Thank you!

The answer is that there is not a violation in this situation. The door swing is outside of the fixture, but because the door is on the same side as the toilet, it would not be in the opposing fixture space.
