They put truncated domes at a accessible parking access aisle where there is no accessible crosswalk. Is this allowed? ICC A117.1 does not say you cannot put the Truncated domes where there is no accessible crosswalk.

As far as I know, nothing says you can't put detectable warnings in other locations.

Edit: correction: there are very specific places you can't put detectable warnings. Depending on the exact location, it may or may not be allowed. Unless explicitly called out, you can place them anywhere you want.

It's my understanding that CA requires them in a bunch of locations that other places do not. See 11B-247.

Should I remove my post ;)

I've been studying for the CASp, so I'm in 11-B neck deep... Passed the closed book on the first go (which is supposed to be harder) but going for the third try on the open book.

Nah lol. I'm a CASp and I completely forgot about the few places you can't put detectable warnings and "had" to correct myself. My brain is fried and I think I'm ready for the weekend...

Best of luck on the CASp exam! Those tests are difficult, and the open book text can be extra hard if you get a project type you don't have much experience in.

I don't know where these sections come from but it's not the ICC A117.1-2006 that we use here.

Sorry, I wasn't replying to you, I was replying @arwat23 who is also from California. 11-B is California accessibility to public buildings, public accommodations, commercial buildings, and public housing.

Yes, I added the oxford comma on purpose.
