Saw this question and thought I would ask::;

What year did the fire door latching standards change from requiring two latching points to three on a double pair of doors?

Do you know what requirements this question is referencing? Some pairs of fire doors only have latches at the top of each leaf (2 latching points). Some pairs have a latch at the top of one leaf and the other door latches into the "inactive" leaf (2 points). Some pairs have latches top and bottom on both leaves (4 points). Some have latches top and bottom on one leaf and the other door latches into the inactive leaf (3 points). All of these are acceptable.

I took it maybe

Two rods and a latch were needed or

One rod one latch and one pin.

So is the latching requirement per the door listing

Or is there something in 80?
